BeatCut is operated by Viacheslav Moskvin, an individual entrepreneur registered in Georgia (ID No. 345790101), who is the data controller for personal data processed through the Service. 1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication credentials (or OAuth tokens if you sign in with Google).

Uploaded Content

We temporarily store video and audio files you upload for processing. Source files are automatically deleted within 24 hours after processing. Output files are stored until you delete them or your account is terminated.

Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data such as feature usage, processing times, and error logs to improve the Service. We use Vercel Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookieless, aggregated) for traffic measurement and Sentry for error monitoring, which may capture limited technical diagnostics — including a masked session recording when an error occurs — to help us diagnose and fix problems.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ), our Merchant of Record. We do not store or have access to your credit card or banking details. To process your order, Creem acts as an independent data controller and collects billing information such as your name, email, billing address, payment details, and order details, as described in their privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To process your video and audio files as requested
  • To manage your account and subscription
  • To communicate with you about the Service (updates, security alerts)
  • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Where GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the Service and processing your payments), to pursue our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and improving the Service), and, where relevant, based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with:

  • Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ) — our Merchant of Record, for payment processing, invoicing, tax handling, and subscription management
  • Cloud infrastructure providers — to store and process your files (encrypted at rest)
  • Vercel Analytics & Sentry — cookieless traffic analytics and error monitoring to keep the Service working
  • Law enforcement — only when required by law

Some of these providers process data outside your country, including outside the EU/EEA. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

4. Data Retention

Uploaded source files are automatically deleted within 24 hours after processing. Output files are retained in your account until you delete them. Account data is retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days of account closure.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel and automated systems necessary for providing the Service.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access and export your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data and account
  • Object to or restrict certain data processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies. Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) is cookieless, and our error monitoring (Sentry) does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
